Katsina State Internal Revenue Service
VehicleTrack &
Revenue Platform
Register motorcycles, pay fees, get plates, and verify roadside — one registry for citizens, dealers, officers, and KT-IRS.
How it works
From application to national plate legitimacy
Citizens register directly or dealers submit on behalf of buyers. KVTRP validates identity and chassis data, collects fees, routes for KT-IRS review, issues the plate and e-certificate, then reports allocation to FRSC NVIS.
- 01
Submit the application
Start as a citizen, or through a formal/informal dealer. Capture chassis/VIN, vehicle details, and supporting documents.
- 02
Validate identity & chassis
KVTRP checks NIN/BVN references, chassis format, and duplicates before fees are due.
- 03
Pay and await KT-IRS review
Settle fees digitally. Paid items move to Pending KT-IRS Review — no approval without confirmed payment.
- 04
Receive plate & e-certificate
On approval, the plate number and e-certificate are issued. Allocation is reported to FRSC NVIS for national legitimacy.
- 05
Verify roadside
KASROTA officers scan plate or QR for validity, owner match, and flagged or stolen status.
Platform capabilities
What KVTRP centralises for Katsina
A single state record for registration, revenue, and enforcement — motorcycle-first today, with a vehicle-agnostic design for later categories.
Direct citizen registration
Individuals register motorcycles online without visiting an MLA desk first — chassis, owner confirmation, fee, then submit.
Formal & informal dealers
Licensed shops and named markets submit registrations for buyers, with licence tracking and channel-aware workflows.
New plate or transfer path
Choose Issue New Plate or Transfer Existing Plate so first registration and plate swap share one dealer flow.
NIN / BVN KYC
Identity references are validated for registration and ownership transfer so the registry stays attributable.
KT-IRS review gates
Paid applications enter Pending KT-IRS Review. Reviewers approve or reject per item — never without confirmed payment.
Digital fees & e-certificates
Collect registration and related fees electronically, then issue plate particulars and e-certificates from the same record.
Dealer bulk registration
Designed for sales events and backlogs: spreadsheet or fast-entry rows, row-level validation, and pay-all or pay-selected.
KASROTA QR verification
Field officers look up validity, owner match, and flagged status from a plate number or QR code.
Flagged & stolen transfer lock
Stolen or flagged units are blocked from lawful ownership transfer until the case is resolved.
State data domestication
KVTRP is Katsina's own central record — not a substitute for FRSC NVIS, but the state-owned source that feeds it.
Revenue reconciliation
Match platform payments to gateway settlement and bank remittance so leakage shows up daily on Admin and Chairman views.
Chairman oversight
A dedicated dashboard for statewide revenue, LGA volumes, compliance trends, and flagged cases — headline numbers, not operational queues.
Motorcycle-first, vehicle-ready
Interface stays motorcycle-first; the data model carries vehicle categories so cars and other types can follow later.
Portals
Five portals. One state registry.
Citizen, dealer, KASROTA officer, KT-IRS admin, and Chairman roles work against the same vehicle and payment records.
Citizen Portal
Self-service registration, vehicles, transfers, payments, and plate checks for owners.
Dealer Portal
Formal businesses and market sellers. Single and bulk registration, batches, and buyer confirmation.
Officer Portal
Roadside scan-first verification for KASROTA — plate, QR, and flagged vehicles on cheap phones.
Reviewer Portal
KT-IRS desk officers — queues, approvals, plate issuance, payment confirmation, and queries.
Admin Dashboard
Operations across offices — pipelines, plate stock, reconciliation, dealers, and enforcement.
Chairman Dashboard
Statewide headlines — revenue, operations, enforcement, workflow control, and directives.
Field verification
KASROTA checks that hold at the roadside
Officers scan a plate number or QR code and receive validity, owner match, and flagged status — including when connectivity is patchy.
Plate or QR lookup
KASROTA officers scan a plate number or QR and receive validity, owner match, and flagged status.
Works with patchy signal
A recent plate and flagged-vehicle snapshot can answer roadside checks offline, then re-verify when the device reconnects.
Transfer freeze on flags
Stolen, blocked, or flagged units cannot complete a legal ownership transfer until clearance.
What the officer sees
Status language shared across citizen, dealer, KASROTA, and admin portals.
Plate is active in the state registry. Eligible for renewal or lawful ownership transfer.
